Blackcurrant Burst is a brisk and energising fruit tea blend. Jam-packed with delicious berry flavour, it’s a bright and invigorating blend that’s sure to give you a summery lift – whatever the weather!
Our Tea Masters balance black teas from East Africa to create the perfect base for this blend. We then add our signature blackcurrant flavouring and real blackberry pieces to enhance the briskly robust tea with a bold fruitiness. A touch of mint adds a lighter note, transporting you to nostalgic summer gardens and hedgerow-lined country lanes. It’s no wonder our Blackcurrant Burst has been a much-loved part of our collection for over 20 years.
Each teabag is foil-wrapped for freshness to ensure every brew reaches you full of flavour. Blackberries are a popular summertime fruit, foraged from the countryside and destined for late summer drinks, desserts, jams and dishes. We’ve created this blend so you can enjoy the qualities of our superior black tea and blackberries in one cup, all year round. It makes an energising cuppa brewed with hot water, or celebrate the berry flavours with a cooling blackberry iced tea. Steep with sugar, then simply dilute with iced water. We like to add a slice of lemon for a citrus twist.

Water
The quality of water used as an impact on the quality of the tea. Always use freshly drawn water or filtered water. Heat water to the recommended temperature using an electric hot water heater or a stove top kettle.
Temperature
Heat fresh water to a rolling boil or to a temperature of 100C.
Infusion Time
Once the water reaches the appropriate temperature, it should be poured immediately over the tea bag.Keep the teapot covered to retain heat. Time steeping carefully and infuse for 3-5 minutes. When the tea is done steeping, immediately remove the tea and lightly stir.
This black tea has more caffeine than teas in our green tea range. It's important to keep in mind that brew time accounts for the primary influence over a tea's caffeine content.
